The bodies of living things always have many different relationships with each other.
It is not just the relationship of predator vs. prey: recent research focuses on things like the effects of bacteria within the soil on trees, and their networks, as well as how bees carry pollen.
Enabling Relations is an experimental project that seeks to explore how relationships that were never possible in the physical world could be created through modern technology, even for plants and insects, akin to how humans interact remotely via the internet.
Here, we start by looking into the relationships between the street trees in Tokyo, and the flow of wind, soil, and water.
Next, we test whether the various life forms living at each location can form networks.
In addition, we explore new ways of connections to see whether human activities can have a relationship with these ecosystems.
